You don’t always need green qualifications to find your role in the green economy. In fact, as more companies commit to greater sustainability, more traditional careers in areas such as accountancy and marketing are supporting work towards net zero.
Reena Dosanjh is a Senior Product Marketing Manager at OVO Energy in Bristol. A storyteller, with a degree in Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, Reena uses her marketing skills to communicate with OVO Energy’s stakeholders and customers about the company’s green products and services.
Reena’s work is critical to OVO Energy’s Plan Zero; its strategy to be net zero across its value chain and operations by 2035. OVO’s mission, which seeks to ensure no customer is left behind in the green transition, impacts and directs every aspect of business and every job within the company.
Reena says, “I have a real passion for sustainability, it’s the reason I wanted to work at OVO Energy in the first place. In my role, I get to apply my marketing expertise to help us achieve net zero. What could be better than that!”
